The Combe

The Combe

The Combe is an eight acre arboretum and woodland garden, a natural and peaceful oasis on the very edge of the city and a pleasant contrast to the formal terraced gardens at Milton Lodge.

There are many fine old trees in the Combe, such as the great oak at the top end of the lawn, the hundred feet high chestnut on the right bank, and on the opposite bank a Cedar of Lebanon and a soaring beech with a girth of fourteen feet.

The Combe is open to the public free of charge on every day from Easter until the end of October.

Please note: Photographs of The Combe will be upload soon.
