The Lily Pond

In the corner of the Central Terrace, beside the path leading through to the stable yard, is a stone-edged lily pond set in a small rectangular gravel terrace furnished with pots of geraniums, fuchsias, lilies and agapanthus.

On the west facing wall, Rosa Gertrude Jekyll flourishes from the end of May.

From this sheltered spot there is a fine view over the yew enclosed pool terrace to the distant landscape and Glastonbury Tor.
